A short video about building a bridge with less materials, by using different resources:
The video is interesting in the way that it talks about at the end that we still build/ make things the same way as we did many many years ago, even though we have come leaps and bounds with materials and how to manipulate them into something better and stronger. It also highlighted the fact that we seem to over think things, thinking that if we use more, then it must be better, when in fact it is the opposite, and we have found this in design too, it has become a sort of fashion at the moment to have less words/pictures/colours on a page - to keep it simple and neat.
