Practical Packaging Task. part 2

The first set of photographs are of the nets that I worked out but it did not work out at first. The net , I drew in red pen so it would show up on the photograph where I would be making changes. At first glance, I thought that all I needed to add was a tab and slot on the one side. This is what I did. But after making up I still did not think it was stable enough. So I had to re-think.

The second time around I still kept the tab with the slot, as it worked really well and held the sides together strong enough. (You can see in the last the photograph how it worked). I also added the length to the bottom tabs and top tabs and cut slots into each one, so they locked into each other, this gave the top and bottom strength to hold together.

I think this is the result that is wanted from this exercise but I am not a 100% sure. i think it would work well. But its hard to tell without making it out of card.

With the added things i have made to this net, it should be able to work, completely glue-less. Success! I do think this would be stronger if it were made from stronger material, though I think that the attachments are strong enough to hold without glue.
